Parametric Systems is pleased to announce that the first phase of a large development using the ENIGMA system development platform has been released to the client for testing.
ENIGMA is designed to leverage code generation, in conjunction with tailored code, to provide an efficient, cost effective, platform. To this point this development has required 142 man hours to create 154 programs. A total of 453,272 lines of code have been created of which 3605 have been specifically tailored to customise the system. ENIGMA has generated more than 99%.
The next phase is to accomplish the generation of data recording and retrieval using ENIGMA generated SQL queries.
Preliminary indications show that ENIGMA has the ability to generate the recording, and retrieval, of data over 12 distinct tables from one user initiated transaction. Also indicated is that ENIGMA has the ability to generate the joining of data from 4 tables to respond to one user initiated request for information. Both of these quantities reflect the design of the database structure and user requirements for the system. They are not fixed limitations on ENIGMA’s ability to generate the SQL statements.
This development is being used to fine tune the ENIGMA package. This fine tuning is nearing completion and ENIGMA is scheduled for general release in March 2018.
