ENIGMA Installation and Operation Requirements
To use ENIGMA you will need the following installed on your PC/Laptop:
- Windows 7 and above
- An Internet Platform (Internet Explorer, Chrome or similar)
- SQL Compact (version 4 or above)
- .NET Framework
- Integrated Information Services (IIS) loaded through Web Platform Installer (Web PI)
The Installer package will direct you to download sites where you can install SQL Compact and Web PI.

Accessing Integrated Information Services
ENIGMA requires the open source Integrated Installation Manager IIS to be installed before ENIGMA will operate in your environment.
The easiest way to install IIS is to use the free Web Platform Installer (Web PI) available from Microsoft. If you wish to get the software before you install ENIGMA, access the link and then the appropriate download at the bottom of the text.
When Web PI has downloaded, run it and select Products and then Server.
As a minimum –
- IIS: Static Content
- IIS: Default Document
- IIS: Directory Browsing
- IIS: HTTP Errors
- IIS: HTTP Logging
- IIS: Request Monitor
- IIS: Request Filtering
- IIS: Static Content Compression
- IIS: Management Console
- IIS: Management Scripts and Tools
- IIS: WAS Process Model
- IIS: WAS Configuration API
all need to be installed from the Server list.
